바다 위 등대처럼, 길 잃고 지친 이들에게 쉼과 회복을 주며
함께 하나님의 음성을 듣고,

Like a lighthouse on the sea, we offer rest and restoration to the weary and the lost.

우리는 사람과 사람, 교회와 교회, 단체와 단체 등
하나님 나라 안에서 한 형제 자매된 이들을 연결하고
다리를 놓는 이들이 되길 소망합니다.We long to be people who build bridges—
connecting individuals with individuals,
churches with churches, and ministries with ministries,
as brothers and sisters in God’s Kingdom.
2013년, 캐나다에 처음 도착한 날은 Victoria Day였습니다.
누군가는 끼워맞추기라고 말할 지 모르겠지만, 우리는 그날을
“승리하신 하나님과 함께 시작한 날”로 마음에 새겼습니다.몇 주 후, 갑작스럽게 “노바스코샤!”라는 말을 외치며 잠에서 깨어났고,
곧장 검색해보니 캐나다 동부의 주였으며 빨간머리 앤의 배경으로도
잘 알려진 곳이었습니다. 곧바로 비행기를 예약해 아내와 함께
노바스코샤의 할리팩스를 방문하게 되었습니다.여행 중, 바닷가에 아름다운 등대가 있다는 이야기를 듣고 찾아가던 중,
짙은 안개로 시야가 가려 자주 차를 멈추어야 했습니다.
그렇게 지나간 길이 바로 Lighthouse Route 333.
그리고 도착한 곳은 Peggy’s Cove.
도착하자마자 거짓말처럼 하늘이 열리고 햇빛이 비치며,
숨 막힐 듯 아름다운 바다와 등대가 우리를 맞이했습니다.가는 길 내내 우리는 예레미야 33장 3절 말씀을 묵상했고,
그곳에서 하나님께서 우리에게 부르심을 주셨습니다.
“보이지 않는 길을 걷는 이들에게 빛을 비추는 등대처럼,
길을 잃고 지친 이들이 잠시 머물다 다시 나아갈 수 있도록 돕는 사람,
그런 공동체가 되자.”
그날 이후, ‘등대’는 우리의 부르심이자 사명이 되었습니다.그 후 약 10년간 토론토 삶의교회에서 예배와 공동체 사역을 섬기다,
2023년 부인할 수 없는 하나님의 인도하심을 따라
알버타주 메디슨햇으로 이주하게 되었습니다.
우리가 도착한 날은 발렌타인데이, 우리를 끝까지 사랑하시는
신랑 되신 예수님의 사랑을 다시 깊이 기억하는 시간이었습니다.이곳에서는 국제선교단체와 연결되며 한인들과 매주 한국어로
예배하고 기도할 수 있었고, 지역교회들의 다민족예배에서도
함께 예배를 섬길 수 있는 기회를 얻었습니다.
2024년부터는 몇 가정과 함께
아이들과 드리는 예배를 시작하게 되었습니다.2025년, 우리는 하나님께서 다시 Lighthouse Church를 향한
마음을 일깨우시는 것을 느꼈습니다.
교회는 예배당을 넘어, 삶 속에서 살아 움직여야 한다는 부르심 아래,
사업 때문에 주일 예배 참석이 어려운 분들,
아이들 돌봄이나 언어 문제로 교회를 멀리했던 분들,
그 누구라도 함께할 수 있는 Ekklesia Everywhere, Everyday의 필요를 보게 되었습니다.
우리는 각자의 삶의 자리 — 가정과 학교, 직장, 지역사회 — 에서
“내 집은 만민이 기도하는 집이라 일컬음을 받을 것이다” 하신
예수님의 말씀을 이루어가는 공동체입니다.We are a community committed to
fulfilling Jesus’ words,
“My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations,”
in every sphere of life — in our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.

which provides us with covering, ordination,
and relational support in our work here in Medicine Hat.
We are grateful to walk in fellowship with CMA leaders,

who has become not only our recommender and leader, but also a spiritual family to us.
He currently serves as the president of CMA.
We consider this association our extended family in the body of Christ.

The Creeds
Our fundamental beliefs are in line with the Nicene/ Apostles creed.
We may be non-denominational but we are at our core a trinitarian,
continuationist church family.
This means that we believe in The Father, Son & Holy Spirit
as three persons but One God.
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, Jesus the Son & the Father
and that all are relevant,
